Beginner musicians are those who have absolutely no knowledge or experience in playing piano and need to learn the basics and fundamentals. We will start from point A!
Intermediate musicians are those who have knowledge or experience in playing piano and want to expand on the things they know to help develop their skills. We can pick up from where you are and grow from there!
The advanced musician is more fluent in their knowledge and experience in playing. We’re currently working on a program that would be more helpful by teaching how to get more gigs, scale business, and give access to a variety of resources.
Music Therapy is an proven form of therapy that is well established in the health community. It helps with a variety of disorders including depression, autism, substance abuse and Alzheimer’s disease. It can also help to lower blood pressure, improve coping, reduce stress, improve self-esteem and more. You don’t need a background in music to participate.
Preschool age is a great time to start learning about music. During the early childhood years, their minds grow and develop rapidly so adding musical knowledge during this time would be a great asset. This is a great for introducing sounds and rhythm to prepare the child’s mind for understanding piano lessons.
Music therapy can have a positive impact on social and communication skills of autistic children and adolescents. Music education holds the potential to improve their working memory, functioning, and language skills. Our lessons start in the form of music therapy sessions and can smoothly transition into piano lessons at the comfort level of the student.
The elderly and those who may be dealing with memory loss or other illnesses could benefit greatly from musical therapy sessions as well. Research suggests that listening to music or singing songs can relieve stress and provide emotional or behavioral benefits for people with Alzheimer's disease. Musical memories are often preserved in Alzheimer's disease because key brain areas linked to musical memory are relatively undamaged by the disease. We will be incorporating music that’s good for their mind and soul.
